I reached out to Plymouth-based wedding photographer Rebekka Werren when I saw this gorgeous model couple on her instagram.

Luna and Scott have a beautiful connection which brings real magic to this styled photoshoot. The vibe is Italian summer, the location is incredible; the images are bursting with love and promise.

Inspired by the warmth and charm of the Italian Riviera, this editorial shoot brings a touch of Mediterranean romance to the South West coast of England. Set against the dramatic shoreline of Plymouth, Devon, it captures the essence of a sun-drenched celebration — where citrus tones, elegant bridal fashion, and effortless styling come together in perfect harmony.

I’m looking for styled photoshoots and real weddings to feature on English Wedding – if you have something you’d love to share, don’t be shy: everything you need to know about my wedding blog submissions process is here!

This stunning concept was brought to life by the wonderful Dani from Acorn & Oak Weddings, whose creative vision and meticulous planning pulled together an incredible team of talented suppliers. Dani curated a bold and joyful design, blending vibrant colours, modern styling, and playful details to create a truly unique celebration.

From the statement florals and citrus accents to the luxurious tablescape and chic bridal looks, every element was carefully considered to reflect the concept’s modern, romantic energy. Thanks to her leadership and styling expertise, the team collaborated seamlessly to execute a day that was as stylish as it was full of personality.

The styling is bold, modern, and joyful, with a vibrant palette of hot pink, orange, and yellow. The tablescape features lush, colourful florals mixed with citrus fruits, soft candlelight, and gold-accented glassware. A magenta table runner ties everything together, creating a luxurious yet playful feel. The look is romantic, editorial, and full of personality—perfect for a couple wanting a stylish, standout celebration.

A vibrant, modern and luxurious shoot bursting with joyful colour ad bold personality. The palette blends hot pink, zesty yellow and a warm orange for a sun kissed, high-energy feel.

Glass and gold accents add a romantic, edgy twist. Styling includes flowing, architectural bouquets with trailing ribbons, modern bridal attire featuring dresses and a jumpsuit with statement bows, a citrus themed drinks table.

Couple shots include editorial and candid set against the backdrop of a dramatic floral arched cascade on the venue’s steps ideal for our champagne spray moment. The cake also ties in together the citrus and floral bright details to complete the look.

The ‘nighttime’ shots feature neon lights and an audio guestbook which all tie back to the modern colourful theme.

The fashion was a mix of modern styles and elegant and fun which included a white wide leg jumpsuit, a form fitting white gown with an open back finished with a huge bow, a stunning gown with a high slit on one side adding a modern touch to a traditional silhouette, a short strapless cocktail dress with a asymmetric hemline; a playful and party ready night time option, and finally a glitter gown a stunning silhouette completed with all all over glimmer.

The shoot was finished off with a wonderful champagne spray; shot in front of the venue down the flower adorned front steps.

One of my absolute fave photo opportunities on a wedding day, that really radiate so much fun throughout the short stint of the spray; full of fun and energy

Let’s begin this week with some beautiful styling inspiration from the heart of France’s Champagne region, shall we? I’m proud to share styled photoshoots with inspiration for couples, so you can discover wedding suppliers’ creativity and get ideas for your own wedding look. As always, I want to be super clear that this is a photoshoot, not a wedding – the aesthetic designed with heart and soul, to showcase the work of some incredibly talented artisans working in the wedding sphere.

Images are by photographer Arnaud Gratia, and the photoshoot was curated by lovely Meggan, wedding planner at D Day Wedding Planner Champagne-Ardenne.

In the heart of the Champagne vineyards, this editorial shoot celebrates the effortless elegance of a wedding imagined as a suspended moment, where refinement meets lightness. Inspired by the strong identity of its region, the D Day Wedding Planner – Champagne-Ardenne team wanted to capture the essence of Champagne: a land of effervescence, lifestyle, and craftsmanship.

Overlooking the vineyards, the iconic Château de Sacy provides the perfect backdrop for a timeless love story, with a soft, sunlit, and subtly vintage feel reminiscent of romantic cinema.

Every detail was carefully designed to honour local artisans: a flowing gown with modern lines, an elegant suit tailored for the occasion, and rings created just for this day.

The style remains simple but expressive, with natural textures, golden highlights, and champagne and blush tones that echo a summer evening’s light. Each element reflects the region, its generosity, and understated elegance.

A wedding imagined as a waking dream — simple, authentic, and deeply rooted in its terroir.

It felt perfectly fitting to share this luxe wedding fashion editorial from Croatia as the summer wedding season reaches its heights right now! Join me for sunny, beautiful climes and admire this fabulous creative photoshoot by some of Croatia’s finest.

The venue is Villa Borgo Lapis in Višnjan, a stunning Istrian estate nestled among vineyards. Take inspiration from the styling touches and creative elements all curated by local creatives, designed to showcase emerging wedding trends for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

I hope you love it as much as we have.

The superb images are all by photographer Marko Dušak, owner of Spinaker Graphics studio. The concept for the wedding styling was brought to life in collaboration with Željka Dušak, florist and founder of Vaza I Cvijet floral design studio; Mario Petek, owner of men’s formalwear boutique Suitbox; and Jasna Matok, founder of women’s bridal boutique ‘I Do Weddings‘.

With our thanks to Kristina for sharing these images and her lovely write up of the day!

Floral arrangements by ‘Vaza i Cvijet’, created by Željka Dušak, reflected the villa’s rustic elegance through a delicate palette of pastel hues and thoughtful details such as soft candlelight, fostering a warm and intimate atmosphere.

Photographer Marko Dušak, Spinaker Photograpy, adopted an editorial fashion photography style to capture the event, crafting visual narratives that conveyed the mood, ambiance, and emotion of the day. He praised the seamless collaboration among all partners and the high level of professionalism on set.

Mario Petek unveiled a sophisticated collection of men’s formalwear, ranging from classic tuxedos to daring designs featuring bold patterns, chains, and sequins, perfectly complementing the refined ambience of Villa Borgo Lapis.

Mario emphasized the importance of a personalized approach for each client and predicted that burgundy coloured suits will dominate the upcoming wedding season.

Jasna Matok of ‘I Do Weddings’ highlighted the emotional significance of selecting the perfect wedding dress, advocating for a deeply personal and meaningful experience.

The featured models showcased elegant, luxurious bridal gowns that harmonized beautifully with the villa’s romantic, rustic setting.

If you’re feeling all the summer vibes and dreaming of a coastal, beach wedding look, today’s blog is for you. I’m so excited to share this wedding editorial photoshoot inspired by the laid-back ruggedness of the rocky cliffs and softly rippled sand of North Devon, and the olde worldy elegance of the Watersmeet Hotel.

The styling is perfect and the images are divine. And you know what? I adore wedding inspiration where the model couple have had fun. On this occasion, you will have to scroll all the way to the bottom of this blog (reading as you go, obvs – you don’t want to miss anything!) for those amazing sand in their toes moments. As beach wedding editorials go, this one’s pretty damn special. It’s also utterly gorgeous. (More on instagram later too! @englishweddingblog)

The stunning North Devon coastline and sun kissed skies make a breathtaking backdrop for any wedding. If coastal vibes and old world decadence are your thing, we have everything to inspire your wedding style right here, brought together by a talented group of Devon wedding creatives and captured beautifully by Freeform Images.

To inspire couples looking for that extra something, this talented group of local creatives joined forces to blend luxury and natural beauty in equal measure. With soft sand, cream tones, and subtle hues of blue they added touches of warmth and sophistication with subtle hues of mauve.

The floral design strikes a balance between modern elegance and natural charm, perfectly complementing the luxurious ambiance of the breathtaking Watersmeet Hotel.

Drawing inspiration from the coastal surroundings, a palette of blue and white echoes the sea, featuring striking delphiniums and lush statement roses. Subtle accents of apricot ranunculus and antique blush carnations offer a soft nod to the sandy shoreline. The bridal bouquet is a lavish composition, rich in blooms and artfully layered with foliage chosen to mimic the gentle sway of seaweed beneath the waves.

With luxe at the forefront of the design tables are kept simple and elegant with white linen cloths and cascading beige runners. The hammered antique candlesticks add a bit of rocky texture and are mounted with pops of blue and cream candles to coordinate with the water themed wedding aesthetic.

A showstopping floral installation graces the fireplace, creating an unforgettable focal point for the ceremony. Thoughtfully designed with versatility in mind, this arrangement transitions beautifully into a grounded floral arch for a romantic beachside celebration.

The stationery captures a luxe coastal feel with a modern twist and a little sea shell fun on the side.

Emma Louise Castle created a suite using soft blue watercolour washes with hand drawn sea shells, soft edges and textured paper for stationery which calls out to the ocean. To add in a modern and fun twist alongside the more traditional feel she used a clam shell template to cut the menus and save the date and added a little hint of a classic beach deck chair stripe in the background as well, giving a serious nod to the stunning coastal location.

The hairstyling for this styled shoot was a nod to modern, refined elegance. Two looks were created, the first a half-up half-down with a Hollywood wave incorporated. Soft, face-framing pieces cascaded around Coral’s face to enhance her natural beauty. The highly polished top section pulled back tightly to complement the modern look. Accessories are kept simple yet sophisticated with a simple pearl headband by The Lucky Sixpence. This works beautifully with a bespoke pair of simple floral stud earrings with pearl drops.

The second hairstyle was starkly different, a far more whimsical high bun with lots of Tendrills cascading to create dimension and to pick up on the adorning accessories, a statement pearl art deco / nouveau pair from The Lucky Sixpence’s latest collection.

For the groom’s look taking inspiration from the coastal colours and textures, the Marc Darcy stone suit, with its cool tone and texture was the perfect choice to blend with the location and theme.

Words by A Whole Lot of Rosie

This photoshoot was inspired by the model Bride’s tattoos of The Beatles and David Bowie.

I first met Anisa when we worked together at The Dockyard in Chatham and she strutted into the office with her Wolf cut hair, the most impressive winged eyeliner for so early in the morning and a pair of brown flares and I thought… firstly she’s so cool and secondly I have to get her on a shoot!

My business is named after the ACDC anthem my Dad would play me as a little girl ‘ A Whole Lot of Rosie’ so I knew a music inspired shoot was needing to be planned.

I wanted to bring together groovy 70s vibes, warm golden hues, and a whole lot of personality. From dreamy yellows and burnt oranges to peachy pastels, every detail sings in harmony and complimented each other.

I started with Sylvia as photographer as her cinematic and nostalgic photography was the perfect fit for this shoot and her work is quite simple phenomenal. She then suggested the gorgeously quirky venue, The Bell in Ticehurst, a place where you gasp as you walk into every room!

We made this shoot a celebration of free-spirited love, bold self-expression, and the timeless power of music and all it inspires.

If your English summer is on the unpredictable side, allow us to share some sunshine with you! I adored this playful and colourful inspiration when it landed in my inbox – the flowers are incredible and every photo feels like summer. An utterly beautiful way to style a wedding which would work in any space from a barn to a tipi to a country house. Huge thanks to lovely Danielle from Blotted Ink Photography for sharing it with us!

This styled shoot aims to show that traditional can be anything but subtle, mixing vibrant pastel pops and luxe styling with ALL THE FLORALS. The tranquil setting of Symondsbury Tithe Barn and the surrounding gardens creates a perfect backdrop for for a summer wedding.

Our stunning model Alexandra wears the ultimate dreamy layered dress from The Bridal Box.

This styling is all about the flowers, and the wonderful Teazle and Bear‘s gorgeous floral installations that pair beautifully with styling from Ambience Devon South, reflected in the delicate stationery and ribbon place names from Lyme Regis based calligrapher Scribe Stationery.

The inspiration behind this inspiration photoshoot was ‘a Modern Beatrix Potter wedding, with just a dash of Bridgerton’ – and the suppliers came together to utterly deliver! From the delicious lemon curd tarts and naked cake from AT Cake Artistry, the delicate veil options from Gabrielle Elizabeth, stunning headpiece and earrings from The Lucky Sixpence to the gorgeous make up from Briony’s Beauty – the devil truly was in the details!

The overall finished look was truly breathtaking, and the perfect way to show you that pastels don’t have to mean muted, and that colourful shots work beautifully for traditional weddings as well as alternative!

Getting married in one of Derby Museums’ prestigious venues comes with benefits. “We couldn’t resist styling a photoshoot in which we imagined our models, Sammy and Liv had snuck away from their reception for a few minutes alone-time amongst the museum’s varied and unusual collection of exhibits.” ~ Venue Hire Assistant and photoshoot coordinator Annie Bayliss

Recently engaged real couple, Sammy and Liv were only too happy to get glammed up and have a practice run at wedding photos ahead of their big day. Liv was dressed in traditional black tie. Her suit, supplied by Jon Paul Menswear, features a dinner jacket with narrow shawl lapels to suit her petite frame and a horseshoe waistcoat for a formal look. Her outfit is fashionably oversized, with long sleeves and slouchy trouser legs. Pairing the suit with a casual boot instead of formal footwear gives this traditional outfit a more grungy alternative twist.

Sammy wears a beautiful strapless gown from Ashleigh Richards, which offers a flattering silhouette and is a timeless classic. The beaded shoulder details add a touch of evening glamour to the clean lines of this unfussy dress. As does the cape-style veil which flows from the back of the dress rather than the head. The cut of this dress fits really well with the placement of her tattoos and Sammy brings a touch of personality to the look by sneaking a pair of white Converse Chuck Taylor high tops under her dress.

Sammy’s wedding ring was created by Invictus Rings who offer hard-wearing, hypoallergenic rings designed to stand the test of time. This design is made by blending two different grades of stainless steel to create a Damascus pattern which will appear differently if you choose a beveled or a curved ring profile.

Both of the ladies’ make up was done by Life of a Beauty Girl. Sammy wears a dark smokey eye which perfectly compliments the evening dress and her dark hair. Liv has gone for a barely-there make up look with peachy skin tones and a beautiful highlight on the cheek to give her dewey, fresh looking skin. Their hair was styled by Killer Contourz, Sammy wears her long hair in a fashionable up do at the nape of her neck with long curls framing her face. Liv’s short hair is dramatically swept to the side and given lots of body and texture.

Flowers were supplied by Something New Florals. The bouquet features anthuriums, hydrangea and trailing amaranthus in muted green tones for a structural look; complimented by softer peach anemones, white peonies and purple stocks. The bold purple calla lilies add contrast and drama. The same blooms are used in the modern pocket square arrangement which takes the place of a traditional buttonhole.

Derby Museums offer several unique spaces across the city in which to get married. Amongst them is the Museum of Making. Housed in an old silk mill, which was the world’s first factory, the Museum is a celebration of manufacture and industry. It boasts a large function room suitable for ceremonies and receptions; but it was a rather special area called ‘The Assemblage’ where the team whisked Sammy and Liv for some intimate portraits amongst the museums collection of over 30,000 objects which catalogue over 300 years of making.

Photographer Emma Duder of Doodah Photography said “This shoot was so much fun. I gave our models the brief that they were slightly tipsy, and had run away from their party at the end of the evening to snatch a few private moments together. They absolutely nailed it and we ran the shoot exactly as I would a real wedding portrait session, resulting in some natural and fun moments which perfectly capture their excitement, joy and love for each other”

To add to the fun, a few hireable props were snuck in amongst the museum’s collection. The retro arcade, LOVE letters, Neon signs and audio guestbook were all supplied by Dream Scene Events and Weddings. These gave the models something to interact with in order to capture some candid, unposed moments and really added to the fun and relaxed atmosphere which needed no staging.

So, this is your permission to take the time at the end of the day, when all the stressful bits like aisle-walks and speeches are done, to run off for a few moments together, with your photographer in tow, to make and record some core memories. And remember, this photoshoot really proves that when a venue speaks for itself, you should let it do all the talking.
