As we head into the Easter weekend, I wanted to leave you with this wonderful wedding from Launcells Barton in Cornwall. The atmosphere is sunny, fresh and coastal chic, and the images by Melanie Barnfield Photography are out of this world. Sophie and Gareth are stunning – Sophie’s dress with its mermaid-like sparkle is perfect for a seaside celebration.

Have the most wonderful weekend everyone – I’ll be taking a break to spend time with family (and eat chocolate!) so we’ll see you on Tuesday! Claire's signature

Wedding photographer review

The best wedding photographer we ever could’ve wished for! Mel captured our August wedding day and every emotion that came with it so beautifully. We are in love with the photos and are so grateful we now have so many moments to look back on and treasure forever.

Mel went above and beyond since we first got in touch, providing lots of helpful info and advice, as well the opportunity to have an engagement shoot which was so special and a great way to get to know each other more.

On the day, Mel was so much more than our wedding photographer, but an extra friend to share our day. She captured all the natural moments without being intrusive, but was also equally there to direct when needed and have some fun with the group shots – she’s full of great ideas, creativity and patience! She brought such a calming energy and put everyone at ease even helping me with my dress and the boys with their buttonholes.

She listened to all our ideas and just totally got our vibe. Our family and friends thought she was brilliant too and so friendly and approachable, with several people mentioning how she literally didn’t stop smiling or snapping away all day.

Mel is a sunshine soul and we truly can’t thank or recommend her enough!!

Your best wedding moment or memory

Our outdoor ceremony ended up being one of our favourite moments due to the complete bubble we found ourselves in of pure love and emotion. It was so special looking out and seeing all our loved ones as we read our personalised vows to each other and walking down the aisle as husband and wife was a moment we will cherish forever.

The tractor ride offered by our venue was another stand out memory as we were able to take a few moments away from it all to soak everything in and be just us, walking in a field that overlooked the sea.

Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)

  • Bride’s speech – The groom wrote a bit of a silly song to Max Boyce’s hymns and arias (a classic Welsh song) with audience involvement and everything! It was a real highlight and he hadn’t told a single person so the biggest surprise of the day.
  • Sundowner drinks on the beach the night before. As people were travelling far and wide, we wanted to make a weekend of it. Most of the guests ended up joining us on the beach the evening before which was so special and the perfect start to our wedding.
  • Tractor ride
  • Lots of homemade touches
  • Pizza van in the evening of course as pizza is our favourite!

Launcells Barton

The most perfect Cornish venue to celebrate our August wedding. We knew when we were first showed around that it had to be Launcells!

From the very beginning, we felt looked after by the team and their communication and attention to detail throughout was outstanding.

They were always so welcoming and there to answer any questions, as well as providing lots of helpful information and advice throughout our wedding journey.

The setting of the venue is something super special and all of our guests were blown away, with not only all of the incredible spaces but the whole feel and homeliness of it all.

We were fortunate enough to have an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful and intimate walled garden, which ended up being one of our favourite parts (along with the tractor ride – such a unique experience), making for amazing photos!

The reception barn was stunning on its own, but we loved that we were able to put our stamp on it with our own decor and bring our vision to life.

The Manor House was another beautiful feature and there was plenty of space to get ready in the morning. The exclusive use of the venue for the whole weekend made for such a memorable time with our closest family who were able to stay onsite.

We are so grateful for all the time and dedication put into ensuring we had the perfect day and thank the whole team from the bottom of our hearts for hosting the best day of our lives!

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!

Bride – my wedding dress reminded me of the way the sea shimmers on a sunny day and was almost mermaid like which is why I fell in love with it. I was able to make it bespoke by adding pearls down the back and off the shoulder sleeves for that whimsical, fairy tale look.

I wore a denim jacket for when it was cooler in the evening that I personalised with pearl initials and little sewn on motifs like a wave, hibiscus flower, stars and a tiny welsh flag.

My favourite part was the jewellery I had made bespoke by Tara Osborne – a unique arm cuff with engraved lines to represent our wedding date, moonstone earrings and a moonstone back necklace with 9 pearls to indicate the number of years we’ve been together.

My something blue were my blue bow shoes which were so cute and fun!

Groom – cream linen trousers with a navy jacket and waistcoat.

The groomsmen were in the opposite, so navy trousers and cream linen jackets.

The ties were peach and as a surprise, the bride had a tie patch made of a photo of our dog, Skye which the groom discovered when getting ready.

Steph at Verbena Floral Styling – the most wonderful florist who brought our vision and Pinterest board to life with her beautiful flower arrangements.

We wanted flowers that suited the theme of coastal, whimsical and fun, and Steph got it exactly spot on!

My bouquet was even made into a heart shape and I literally did not put it down all day long!

The meadow style arrangements that lined the aisle for the ceremony were breathtaking, along with the giant urns that set for the ceremony backdrop. It was fantastic that these could all then be moved into the reception barn and we also had bud vases set along the trestle tables which looked stunning.

The power of flowers and the beauty of floral arrangements at a wedding shouldn’t be underestimated and Steph knows how to deliver.

She also kindly helped with the styling in the reception barn and has an amazing eye for detail which made everything look flawless.

Mother of the bride! A 3 tier cake of lemon, cappuccino and malt chocolate.

Decorated with royal icing and gold leaf.

We had a wooden cake topper made of the bride, groom and our dog. The groom is Welsh so the mother of the groom made a barabrith and one of the bridesmaids made Welsh cakes too.

Wedding catering, eats and treats!

Caterers – Fig & Smoke – we had sharing style boards which worked really well as we had trestle tables and it was like one big feast for everyone to get involved with!

Lots of Mediterranean themed food – breads, olives, dips, meats followed by mains of lamb, hake and stuffed peppers with a selection of side dishes and ending with a trio of desserts. The sharing style meant everyone could try a bit of everything.

Evening pizza van – Shoreline pizza

The bride! Save the dates, invites, menus etc all designed on canva and printed using Printed.com

Any crafty projects or homemade styling touches?

Homemade signage (welcome sign and table plan) – made the most of the groom’s skills set to carve out the signs into a wave shape to fit with our coastal theme.

The groom’s trade is in polished concrete manufacturing and we had polished concrete candle holders on the tables.

We met on Tinder and had candles and little glass bottles filled with matches as our favours – the Tinder symbol is a flame and we used the slogan of ‘it’s a match’ to have personalised stickers printed on the bottles.

We decorated the barn with fairy lights, festoon lights and white drapes along the beams.

The mother of the bride made the napkins using a gorgeous coral print fabric.

Hair – Jessica Dodd (@styledbyjessicadodd)

Jess is an incredible wedding hair stylist and was a dream to have around on my wedding morning. She had the big task of doing mine, 5 bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom and flower girl and she did such an amazing job!

She listened to everyone’s preferences and we were all so happy and felt amazing all day. It was also great to have a trial beforehand.

Jess is such a lovely person and has such a calming personality which helped make the morning relaxed and fun! Can’t thank her enough and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hair stylist.

Make up – Gem Ryder (@gemrydermua) I’m so pleased I booked Gem for my wedding make up as she was simply amazing!

She did make up for myself, 5 bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom – a big task but she smashed it and we all felt fabulous all day long.

She is so knowledgable, professional and talented, and listened to everyone’s preferences to make us feel like a glam version of ourselves.

It was lovely having a trial beforehand and her warmth, kindness and calming nature made the wedding morning relaxing and run smoothly.

Wedding photographer review

Hannah was the perfect photographer for our wedding in Cornwall in May. She was super friendly and responsive from the outset and made a real effort to get to know us as a couple and what we wanted from our day. On the day, she fit right in with our wedding guests and made us all feel really relaxed. Her natural photography style was exactly what we wanted and she did not disappoint! We absolutely loved our photos and would recommend her to anyone who asks!

Your best wedding moment or memory

Getting to the head of the aisle – seeing Ollie standing there and being surrounded by everyone who we love so much! I don’t think anything will ever beat it.

Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)

Certainly not completely original (I stole the idea from a post on a wedding blog!) but we had giant Colin and Connie the Caterpillars as cakes, with lots of the mini ones surrounding them. It’s always been my favourite cake and went down a treat! My brother in law made a great wooden stand and my mum made a tiny veil and hat for the chocolate bride and groom!

Miles Trevelyan-Johnson (Trevelyan Films).

Miles captured our wedding day absolutely perfectly from start to finish. From the outset he was really friendly and spent time getting to know us and what we wanted from our wedding video, as well as making some fun suggestions of shots to try. On the day he was relaxed and professional and fit in with everyone perfectly. He got some amazing footage (including the drone shots!) and we were blown away by the quality of our videos. We would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding videographer – you are in safe hands here!

The most amazing place. Set in the heart of the moor where I grew up, completely surrounding by green space! The converted barns are so beautiful and cosy and allowed us to have all of our closets friends and family with us for the whole weekend. The food was incredible (guests are still talking about it!) and there are so many options in terms of ceremony venue which allowed us to make things are own. The team are so friendly, so experienced and knowledgeable and really couldn’t have done anymore to help us have the perfect day.

Hannah couldn’t have done a better job of capturing the colourful and fun atmosphere of the day! She really listened to what we wanted, and made the most of every great photo opportunity, whether that be when the sun was shining, or in the evening as the sun was setting. She was also brilliant at coordinating our guests to get the best possible shots! Post the wedding Hannah was amazing at getting us a selection of photos very soon after our wedding and when we then received the final photos these were presented on a really easy to use and follow website link, which made it so easy to follow the flow of the day. She also sent us a lovely selection of photos that felt really premium.

We started the day with a yoga class at the venue which my friend did for us, that was such a nice relaxing way to start the day! Those staying on site and in the nearby area came to join in. We then went down to the beach for a morning dip! We did a raffle at the dinner and gave away some items that had a bit of a funny relevance to us. We used cake toppers relevant to our nicknames (Our friends call us Gromit & Coy so we had a Gromit dog on one cake and a Coy fish on the other).

Roscarrock Manor Farm – A lovely venue, with several lovely spaces we were able to utilise for our wedding. The views for our ceremony were beautiful! Outside of this Robert and Phil couldn’t have been more helpful with trying to ensure our day went as smoothly as possible. We had a few weather challenges and they really did do all they could to help us work around it!

My dress was of a more bohemian style, a halterneck laced dress without a train so i could keep dancing in it for the full evening! Sam was dressed in a summery, less formal chino, jacket and a floral bowtie.

Cornishmoorflowers – Beautiful dried flower bouquets, based on what we had requested. They were exactly as we wanted and they even drove them to the venue for us to ensure they were not damaged in delivery. Greys and Green Flowers – Rowena supplied a lovely selection of cut flower buckets, so myself and the bridesmaids could spend the afternoon creating our own small flower arrangement in bud vases. She was very accommodating and supplied more than enough cut flowers for us.

Wedding photographer review

Hannah was wonderful – we’re so glad to have found her and have had her be part of our special day. From the initial phone call we could tell she would put our camera shy selves at ease, and we had a lovely time meeting her ahead of the wedding at our engagement shoot. On the day she worked tirelessly to help us capture all the special moments, and we had so many guests tell us afterwards how friendly and approachable she’d been. Hannah is definitely a pro at capturing special moments in Cornwall – taking us down the coast path for evening shots on the beach, and using her creativity to get some very special shots when the rain started.

Your best wedding moment or memory

One of the key memories that sticks with us was exiting after our ceremony, champagne in hand, to be showered in confetti by our friends and family in the beautiful grounds of the Polurrian on the Lizard hotel. We got so lucky and the sun had broken through the sea mist and was beaming down on us in the stunning cliff top venue. And all to the soundtrack of the Cornish Piper playing the bagpipes for us.

Venue name + review

We got married at the absolutely gorgeous Polurrian on the Lizard hotel, which is on the clifftops in Mullion, Cornwall. We wanted somewhere unique and having spent several happy holidays in this very special part of Cornwall, there was nowhere else for us. The Vista Lounge where we had our ceremony is breathtaking on a clear day, with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic – we shall never forget taking our vows to that backdrop! The food and drink is exceptional, and Georgia and the team helping plan the wedding were fantastic in the run up, and worked absolutely tirelessly on the day to ensure everything came off without a hitch.

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!

For the wedding dress, I wasn’t hugely fussed and didn’t want to spend loads. After initially looking around at second-hand options, I found and loved the Elowen dress from Wed2B. I loved swishing around in a big princess skirt for the day! Only afterwards did we find out that Elowen is a girl’s name of Cornish origin – it must have been meant to be. The groom wore a suit with tails in French navy blue with ivory waistcoat and tie – which along with the rest of the groom’s party outfits were hired from Stephen Bishop in Woking. The team there were brilliant in helping fulfil Jon’s vision.

Florist name + review

We had our flowers done by Lyn at Sweet Pea Floral Studio in Helston – who was a wonderful find by the mother of the bride. We met with Lyn at her Studio a couple of months before the wedding, and she was so knowledgeable we were 100% comfortable leaving the flower designs with her. The bouquets she created in creams, yellows and purple/blues to complement our teal and gold theme were simply beautiful.

Cake maker name + review

Whilst professionally made cakes are beautiful, we decided not to invest much budget in the cake and bought a two tier chocolate cake from M&S. The team at the Polurrian kindly decorated it with fresh fruit for us and we were so happy with the final result.

Any crafty projects or homemade styling touches?

We’re not the craftiest of individuals but there were a couple of extra special touches. One of the bridesmaids spent months from when she found out we had booked our wedding hand drying rose petals from her garden for us to use as confetti. We were so touched and have some saved as a keepsake. Our tables were names after stations on the Northern Line, where we met, worked and lived for years, and we wanted our table plan to somewhat resemble a tube map. Having sent a design to Delicate Designs, she created a wonderful sign in our wedding colours, which we still have in our living room to this day.

Wedding readings?

Selecting the readings was Jon’s job, which he took very seriously. We had three readings in the ceremony, read by some special friends and family. They were: – Eulalie by Edger Allen Poe – An excerpt from Les Miserables (but not a miserable one, we promise!) – The Lovely Dinosaur

Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)

Not sure this is “different” as such but we had a pinata hung in our evening reception to bring back some childhood nostalgia for Jon. Having grown up in Texas apparently they were a birthday staple!

First dance song? Music recommendations?

Our first dance was to Killing the Blues by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss – we listened to the album which this is from, Raising Sand, loads when we were first dating so it was the perfect choice for us.

One other very special thing was one of Emily’s oldest friends Jay Moussa-Mann singing as she entered the ceremony. Jay is an independent artist who can be found on Spotify – she sang everyone in with an acoustic version of her song Green Toyota, which will forever be a firm favourite of ours.

Other than that, us and our guests were 80s and 90s babies, and I believe our brief to DJ Monty (booked through Perfect Party Cornwall) was “cheesy pop please” 😉 He did not disappoint! The groom and one of this friends also ended up having a solo dance to the Jurassic Park theme tune, so there’s a recommendation :D.       [Love it! ~ Claire x]

Hair + makeup name + review

Kimberly Holland and one of her associates did the hair and make up for the bridal party. They were both so chilled and lovely to spend time with, and got involved in the excited atmosphere as we were all getting ready, despite having to get up at some unholy hour to arrive with us for 6.30am! Kimberly also did an amazing job making me feel confident on the day, and making my very fine and thin hair look glam.

The ceremony for us was amazing, the actual getting married part! One of our best friends married us. It was so personal, and just made it that much more special. Also running around in a field when the sun came out was good fun too!

The team at The Green were amazing, from start to finish they help us realise our dream wedding. It is such a stunning venue and we also loved the fact that we could stay on site with our guests for the weekend too; it made it that little bit extra special. The food was incredible, the day ran so smoothly, even with last minute weather changes, they were just amazing!

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!

We wanted to make sure our bridesmaids and groomsmen felt comfortable, so we didn’t pick their outfits for them. We just said green, any green! We love the fact that they all ended up being different shades of green! Jack got his suit made in the same shop that his brother got his wedding suit made. Faith’s dress was the third one she tried on, and just felt so confident in it. The embroidered leafy top with the clean skirt just “made me feel so like me, even though it was like nothing I’d ever worn before”. Dance tests were of course conducted in it too! For both of us sustainability is important, so Jack wanted to have a suit he could wear again and Faith is getting her dress made into a jumpsuit (and probably dying it green).

Graham Hall made Jack’s suit. He was an amazing tailor- the suit was designed to be breathable because of it being a summer wedding. It was incredibly comfortable and had a great finish.

Styling and decor name + review

The Table Decor was done by Unique Designs by Tina – https://www.uniquedesignsbytina.com/

We had trees as our centre pieces, and these were moved onto plinths around the room with tea lights in them for the evening. Fred and Tina were amazing, so friendly and cheery.

All of their centre pieces, although aren’t real look incredible; so it’s all reusable! We loved feeling like we were having our wedding breakfast in a forest. And they were so great at helping us realise our ideal designs for the tables, menu/name cards and our table plans!

Florist name + review

The Flowers (the bouquets, boutonnières and corsages were by Green Rabbit Flowers – https://www.greenrabbitflowers.co.uk The flowers were beautiful and we couldn’t have been happier with Gemma’s designs. Gemma grows all of her own flowers and only delivers locally which we loved too!

Cake maker name + review

We didn’t have a cake. More time for dancing! We also spent that budget on a keg of local beer! (Tribute)

Stationery maker’s name + review

We made our own save the dates and invites. We got them printed on seeded paper so people could plant wild flowers. The table name cards and menus were done by Unique Designs by Tina. Our name cards and menus were made to look like ticket stubs and had quotes from the movies on them.

Any crafty projects or homemade styling touches?

One of our best friends made our wedding rings. He is a jeweller and did such an amazing job. We love our rings so much.

We designed the table signs, and plan; they were all film names. And we decorated them with props and objects from the movies. We also had a savoury pic n mix stand that had things like corn, cheesy moments, pretzels etc and we brought some second hand jars and utensils with paper cups for people to put together snacks for themselves throughout the day. We had so much left over though! People took boxes home (including some of the venue staff haha!!)

Wedding readings?

We didn’t have any readings, but our officiant wrote our vows and they were based around TV and film characters. So we promised to be the “Frodo to your Sam” and the “Bob to your Linda”, the “Yzma to your Kronk” things like that. He also put so many film quotes in, it was so cute!

First dance song? Playlist recommendations?

Our first dance song was ‘Fooled Around and Fell in Love’ by Elvin Bishop. We were friends for a while before we became a couple, and kind of accidentally fell in love. We followed up our first dance immediately with ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ by The Darkness, was a floor filler! The DJ was great and really enjoyed the night- said he enjoyed it as much as we did 🙂 Definitely chat with your DJ beforehand and give a list of “do not plays” and “definitely play” this helps them understand your music taste better!

Hair + makeup name + review

Hair: Kimberly Holland – https://www.khbridal.com/

Kimberly’s hair styling is just stunning and she just made us all look and feel incredible. We had such a wonderful morning with her as well.

Make-Up: Hannah Symons – https://makeupbyhannahsymo.wixsite.com/makeupbyhannahsymons

Hannah managed to make me and the rest of the gang look amazing. She was so much fun to giggle with as well and was just wonderful.

Entertainment and games

We also had games in the barn (which would have been outside if there hadn’t have been a weather warning for wind on the day!)

Archery: Lonewolf Archery – https://www.lonewolf-archery.co.uk/ The archery was so much fun and the instructor Nicola was amazing.

Games: Vintage Fun and Games – https://www.vintagefunandgameshire.com/ Beautiful wooden games and had so much fun playing these!

Starting from this year between October and May, the historic clifftop hotel will now be available for exclusive-use hire for weddings with the launch of its wedding offering.

Housel Bay hotel is Britain’s most southerly hotel, situated in a secluded clifftop location in an AONB, and is in the perfect location for a coastal wedding, offering an uninterrupted backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and Lizard Lighthouse.

Weddings at the hotel offer couples a private and intimate space, with 23 bedrooms available for friends and family and capacity to host a wedding breakfast and wedding reception for up to 70 guests. Each wedding can be tailored to the suit the couple’s requirements.

The hotel’s cliffside garden offers a break-out space for guests and Housel Bay beach being a stone’s throw away offers a stunning location for wedding photos.

Guests can enjoy a wedding breakfast designed by Joseph Fallowfield, head chef of Housel Bay’s on-site two-rosette restaurant, Fallowfields. Joseph’s sample seven-course wedding breakfast menu includes dishes such as monkfish carpaccio, oxtail ravioli, dry-aged beef fillet, and lime & cardamom rice pudding.

General Manager, Alfred Mesropians said: “We have spent a long time perfecting the offering to ensure we can give couples and their guests a truly magical wedding celebration.

“Housel Bay is the perfect location for a wedding and the hospitality and service provided by our amazing team will add that extra touch to ensure your day is truly special.”

The hotel is not licensed to hold the ceremony, however, couples may choose to do this at the nearby appropriately named Church Cove.

[At English Wedding we’d also recommend you check out independent or humanist wedding celebrants – this is a gorgeous way to stage a ceremony at your venue, even if it’s not licensed.]

Wedding celebrations must be a minimum of two nights and are only available between October and May. Prices start from £15,000. For more details, visit https://www.houselbay.com/weddings.

Wedding photographer review

Hannah is a fantastic photographer. She quietly clicks away in the background capturing beautiful moments. We really felt like she captured us just as we are, all the funny faces and all! Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera but Hannah made us feel relaxed and we couldn’t be happier with the pictures.

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!

My dress was 1920s inspired. It had beautiful beading and detail. My veil was long and very sparkly.
My dress was from La Boutique Bridal. They are a charity, all proceeds from dress sales go to brides who are terminally ill and want to get married before they pass away. All the dresses are donated either from designers or brides. It’s such a worthy cause and no dress is over £700. The ladies who run it are all volunteers and they treated me like a princess. Could not recommend them enough!
My husband wore a navy chino with a white shirt and tweed waist coat and jacket. The ties and pocket squares for all the groom party were made by my mum. We were struggling to find the colour for them so found fabric and she made them. The suit jackets were hired from Moss Bros. They were really nice and great quality, but their service at Moss Bros was very poor.

Your best moment or memory

Oh gosh there were so many! I’d have to say dancing all night with all our friends and family. We will never get that again and it was magical.

Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)

We had a traditional confetti throwing at the church but we also had pom pom confetti throwing at the venue. I tasked my brother, sister in law and mother in law with making them. Between them they made close to 500 pom poms of all different colours. It was really fun and the pictures are brilliant! They were collected back up and my brother made a pom pom collage for us as a wedding present.

Venue name + review

Kilminorth Cottages

Beautiful venue set in a gorgeous cornish valley. We had the entire venue to ourselves with beautiful cottages that over half of our guests were able to stay in. We had the freedom to creat the wedding we wanted, decorating it however we chose to.

Florist name + review

Our florist was The Fencing Florist. Named as such due to his day job as a fencing contractor. His flowered are beautiful we were so happy with them. Really great service and communication throughout.

Cake maker name + review

I made the cake and all the puddings.

Stationery maker’s name + review

I made the stationery items. I used an oak leaf stamp on the name cards to add to the autumnal theme.

Any crafty projects or homemade styling touches?

Oh gosh so many! Made the name cards, my friend had made some wreaths and dried flower bunches for her wedding that we used. My sister in law mad a macrame arch that we used. My parents grew flowers and ornamental pumpkins. My husband made Wooden discs for the centrepieces. He also made table names on wood using a pyro pen. We collected pine cones, concurs, acorns, twigs the list goes on!

Wedding readings?

We had a good friend do a reading as part of the church service.

First dance song? Playlist recommendations?

Karen Ramirez – Didn’t know I was looking for love
Playlist recommendations: Earth wind and fire – September
A selection of northern soul
Flo Rider – Low Faithless Insomnia

Hair + makeup name + review

Red Bridal – Hair

Very professional, really got on board with my theme for my look being 1920s. Really happy with my hair and would highly recommend!

Bow Bridal – Makeup

Again very professional, and really embraced my theme. Both my hair and makeup came together as one look. I couldn’t be happier with it.

Catering recommendation

The Croust hut for the best canapés I’ve ever tasted!

Lovely Tracey’s a member of English Wedding and a wedding photographer in Cornwall. She posted her favourite wedding pics of 2022 on her blog, and I asked if we could share them too! The months seem to fly by so quickly… It really doesn’t seem like twelve months ago and I was completing my last round up of the year, but here I am again!

It’s been a crazy couple of years following the pandemic, where I have found myself the busiest I have ever been.

wedding photography in Cornwall by Tracey Warbey

To be back working again has been fantastic and it’s been an honour to see my clients finally tie the knot after many months of uncertainty, having postponed their wedding.

So apart from being super busy, what else happened last year? Well, I was chuffed to be declared a 2022 South West Wedding Awards Finalist for the third consecutive year.

wedding photography in Cornwall by Tracey Warbey

To be nominated and receive so many lovely comments from my couples is something very special to me.

I’m in my 9th year as a wedding photographer in Cornwall and I say this all the time, but I really do love my job. It’s always such a privilege to share in one of the most important days in my couple’s lives.

wedding photography in Cornwall by Tracey Warbey

I love being able to photograph at such a wide range of beautiful wedding venues in Cornwall. We really are spoiled for choice down here!

With nearly 10,000 images delivered to my couples last year, it was difficult to pick only a few that reflected the last twelve months. I have chosen some of my favourite images that highlight some of the key elements of a couple’s wedding day.

I hope that you like them too 🙂
